Sylvie Kay is both director, dancer and choreographer.
She works in collaboration with the composer Igor Dvorkin and created SILK in April 2025.
It is alone that she writes the story, the choreography: simple frame of camera, dance with direct live sounds of tap dance in her variations, and mixes tap with the music
In osmosis with an important picture photography, movement, atmosphere, she wants to give her own original vision of dance in a complete artistic way.
Alone in a spacious dance studio, with these 3 large windows, she creates a strange creature, SLY, in an imaginary and mysterious world.

I am grateful to the Centre National de la Danse à Lyon, France, for their constant support in my work and for allowing me to develop new choreographies over the past 4 years.

In 2021, I discovered the music of Igor Dvorkin and I felt like a click. It was the beginning of a deep inspiration for dance fantasy movies along with moder tap percussions.
