Rules & Terms

    1. Eligibility: The competition welcomes filmmakers from all backgrounds, irrespective of nationality or level of experience. Please note that we do not accept pornographic films.

    2. Submission Process: To submit your work, please use the official Filmfreeway submission portals exclusively. Submissions made through other means will not be considered.

    3. Accepted Formats: Before submitting, carefully review the rules. Films must be submitted digitally through our official Filmfreeway portal, preferably in the Digital MP4 format with a minimum resolution of 480p to ensure optimal audio and visual quality. Scripts can be submitted in either PDF or .docx format.

    4. Exhibition Links: We also accept YouTube or Vimeo links to your films, as we prioritize creating a secure and controlled environment for showcasing your work.

    5. Subtitles: Unless the spoken language is English, all films must include English subtitles.

    6. Rights and Content: Entrants are responsible for owning all rights to their films and confirming that they have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses. The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that contains offensive or illegal content.

    7. Judging: A panel of judges will be appointed to assess all submissions and determine the winners. The judges’ decisions will be final and binding.

    8. Awards: The festival will grant awards in various categories, with the winners announced before the festival’s screening event.

    9. Notification: Entrants will receive email notifications regarding the status of their submissions. Please check your Spam folder as well. It’s your responsibility to maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information. If you haven’t received any emails by the notification date, please reach out to us.

    10. Publicity: By entering their projects, participants provide the festival with the authorization to utilize their projects, names, and images for promotional purposes.

    11. Compliance: Entrants agree to abide by these rules and regulations by submitting their films. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in disqualification from the contest.

    12. Zeal International Film Festival retains the authority to modify or reschedule the dates, awards, and categories.
    13. The submitter acknowledges that they have read and comprehended all the terms and conditions, rules, and guidelines prior to submission.

  2. Each Official Selection will be presented with the Zeal International Film Festival Official Laurel.

  3. We offer Certificates and Laurels to all the Honorable Mentions, Semi-Finalists, Finalists and Winners, acknowledging their remarkable accomplishments.

  4. We further enhance the visibility of your project by utilizing promotional posters.
